The owners of Hacienda Loma del Sol will invite you for Cocktails at their nearby race horse breeding farm. You can tour the stables, then enjoy the view, breeze and views at Hacienda Siesta Alegres' spacious event facilities.

Hacienda Loma del Sol is a private 16 acre estate on a sunny hilltop, located just 45 minutes east of San Juan in Puerto Rico. The 4 or 5 bedroom weekly rental is in the foothills of the El Yunque rain forest. The villa has panoramic views on all sides, fresh mountain breezes in the evenings and a sunny pool in the daytime. Just 15 minutes to the coastline of Puerto Rico and its' many beaches. Ideally located, you can easily visit San Juan to enjoy the culture, casinos and nightlife; yet, when in your private 'home away from home', you are far away from the world, immersed in natural surroundings and exotic gardens, with complete privacy. Hacienda Loma del Sol is a weekly vacation rental. Its' amenities include a computer for internet use, 'hot spot' to airport with your own laptop, the living room is completely stocked with games, CD player, a variety of movies to watch, hammocks on the porch, washer, dryer etc. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. Chef service or catered meals can also be arranged. The jacuzzi is outside, surrounding by tropical plantings and a lovely view. The pool has a panoramic view.

You will need to rent a car to stay here, unless you plan to 'hide out' or depend upon pre-arranged chauffeuring. Taxi service ( as a last minute idea) is not possible.

Approach your Vacation from one of these four possibilities:

'Recapture your Body' and get in shape with healthy natural exercise. Up to 4 couples can do this together. An 8 AM one hour kayak trip, mid-day snorkeling, sailing, scuba, 4 PM afternoon bike-riding in the rainforest, hiking, swimming and golf ... alternating with culture and nature exploring trips. Knowledgeable guides offer educative trips through the various ecosystems of Puerto Rico, while you get in shape again through outdoor activities.

'Spa type Vacation' Get a Massage by our lovely swimming pool with panoramic view of both the ocean, mountains and landscaped grounds. The jacuzzi will also relax your body. Gentle walks around the estate will soothe you into total relaxation. There are several beaches less than 15 minutes away. We are on an access road to the El Yunque rain forest, where a myriad of paved trails await even the laziest of visitors!

'Reunion/ Family Vacation' You will be surprised at how much space this home offers. A large, extended family will still find areas of quietude and privacy, on the terraces, pool area and living-game room. The pool area is quite separate and the very large dining room and dining table seats 16 comfortably. There is much to do nearby. Sailing, swimming, snorkeling, hiking in the rain forest and even surfing and surfing lessons. A 45 minute drive will take you to the ancient walled city of Old San Juan to explore the Old forts, San Cristobal and El Morro. Movie Theaters and a shopping mall are less than 20 minutes away. Enjoy the variety of beaches in nearby Luquillo (a surfing beach, a snorkeling beach and several very tranquil beaches).

'Wedding / Event' The romantic setting at Hacienda Loma del Sol is excellent for a small wedding party. Up to 50 guests can quite comfortably be accommodated here; or stay here and use the sister facility 'Hacienda Siesta Alegre' which accommodates up to 350 seated guests and specializes in large events).Events will have an additional charge.
